Sunny Disposition!

I can't get over the line today. "Sunny Disposition". I guess this is how you describe my shoot earlier today with my favorite photographer of all time, Mr. Paul Borromeo. It was a very very lazy afternoon and as they all say, "boredom kills".

It started out as a simple conversation in Facebook and after that everything was history. We planned the shoot, no concept in mind just simple. We need a model, a MUA (Make Up Artist), clothes (duh?), and a location. And in a matter of minutes..oops! My bad.. seconds I mean.. we had a plan!

The model was going to be ME, MUA was also ME, and guess what? The clothes came from me too. It's no biggie really since Sir Paul was just doing me a favor since my boredom was really getting to me. So, what I did next was rummage into my closet and picked out something interesting. And I remembered that dress I bought from my friend's online facebook page, RAGS to RICHES (!/profile.php?id=100001249962415&ref=ts). I took out all my make-up out of the closet into one big bag, looked for the perfect pair of sandals to match my dress and accessories too. And I was off.

After a few minutes I was at LEADFOTO Studios in Juna Subdivision for the shoot. I got a little dizzy in the cab ride the way over there since I have this severe motion sickness. But enough about that and more on what happened. Anyways, 3pm and I was in the studio. Sir Paul just arrived and he opened the studio. I headed back to the studio with the Make-up room in it ('s so cool!), and started putting on make-up. It wasn't so complicated since everything was just all neutral colors for the eyes and pale pink lips and pink blush. I think I did a pretty good job. So by the time I finished hair and make-up, I called the photographers that I'm ready for the shoot.

In total, it was fun and wacky for that couple of hours taking pictures and talking with good old friends. A chance for me to dress up a bit and even put my make-up skills to the test. We plan scheduling another one, but I guess that should be left as a surprise.

Hey Guys! I want you to check this out for a sec. And I wanna know what you think. I did this look a month ago for a lookbook type photo shoot, and basically the colors I mixed were Pink, Purple, and Black. I got this inspiration from macNC40 from Youtube and she did a really good job at it. I think I had more fun putting on the purple since it is my favorite color. Just take a look at this and tell me what you think. I'll be posting the tutorial on how to do this on video soon. So let me know! mwah! :)

Make-up blogs and vlogs!

Hey guys!

Since late last year I've been very fond of doing my make-up and for my friends as well. Also because of my job as VJ for South Spot (Channel 19 of Sky Cable and airs in DAVAO and GENERAL SANTOS city), I had to do my own make-up (For now that is, since their still fixing up a contract with a make-up artist and a stylist for my clothes).

I've been investing on make-up for the past few months and I could say that I have a hefty stack at home. From eyeshadow palettes to make-up brush sets to different types of eyeliner. I experiment on different shades and different looks. I can't say I'm a professional since I have no formal training. More on self-learning. Hee.

Anyway, I think it's time I share to you guys what I've learned so far. What I'm going to share is more on basic make-up, the brands I've tried, How to blend colors for your eyes, and maybe some hair tips as well. I hope you guys watch out for my blog and future vlogs for this topic. And maybe learn a thing or two for those who are just starting to do make-up or even to those who just simply love putting them on. Will give you a few quick tips with it!

SIMPLE was all it took!

Being simple in your own little way is the best accessory you could wear. You can be your little fashionista" just by wearing your old jeans and a plain top. I guess, during my student years, I learned to dress down but look fashionable (in my own opinion!). You can be as beautiful as you want to be if you chose the right clothes that fit you and of course, are very comfortable. The phrase "Being beautiful is painful", in this case is not applicable. We can be sexy, we can be beautiful, we can be stunning, if we just believe that we are. Stay simple bellas! ;)

*A Quick Tip: A tank top, an old mini skirt, and a scarf can go a long way!

Finding a great BARGAIN!

"Good Friends" think alike. We may be different individually, but the most exciting thing that we could ever experience in a friendship is when you "get" each other, you say things that are utterly stupid at the same time, and you laugh like hyenas which make everybody stare. You might be wondering what's the connection of FRIENDSHIP with shopping, fashion, or bargains. Well, remember when I said Good Friends Think Alike? My friends, Carmen and Queen are just those kinds of friends that I can count on when "Bazaars" are in town. When you say BAZAARS, it's the perfect place to find the words like, "percent off!", "SALE!", or anything below a "P100".

It was a somewhat humid night for me and my friends when we went over Matina Town Square, where weekly bazaars take place and simply take every human female by storm. I am not kidding, numerous booths with endless choices for clothing, shoes, and accessories. Probably a girls dream, and the best part of it is that all are low-priced! Anyway, me and my friend Carmen came early. (SHOCKER!) Carmen is my good friend from New Zealand who simply loves fashion and shopping. She loves it so much she even studied for it. IN NEW ZEALAND! Moving on, we came early to avoid the complexity of being surrounded by so many people in a single area (And to think Matina Town Square is HUGE!). We looked around and from the first stop we saw SKIRTS hanging within this booth. To our utmost joy, they were priced below P300 each (Carmen got the one that was priced at P150, and mine was P250). After grabbing a bite we met up with our friend Queen. This time more people are in the area, this means -- humidity, sweating (eww), and dizziness!

After endless browsing with my friends, I was able to purchase a lot of things for less than P1,000. Here are the things I got:
  1. Boho Dress at P430
  2. Hoop Earrings at P25/pair
  3. Loose Blouse (Printed) at P90 (I tell you, this is a BARGAIN!)
  4. White Sunglasses at P90
  5. Dark Brown Aviator type Sunglasses a P100
  6. Long tri-colored skirt at P250

I guess a little shopping spree made our day a lot better especially after that we planned our next day out to the UKAY-UKAY!

*A QUICK TIP: Stick to your budget. When you feel you need more, you don't. You just have to find the best bargain to get the best deals.
